2 Seconds Away first hit the streets in 2001 when a few of the founding members were taking a music class in Oslo together. The band was born out of a dissatisfaction with limited availability of punk rock on the market and a desire to create more tunes that were fast paced and energetic and that would give their listeners a proverbial kick up the behind.
Papa Roach, Sum 41 are undoubtedly some of the band’s biggest influences, although Offspring and Blink182 have also played an important role in defining the musical style.
2 seconds away’s music can be defined as a fast-paced, straight on kind of punk rock and metal. The band’s main mission is to engage with and energise its listeners and if possible even help them to fell a whole lot better!
