Airbag Killex discovered his first software sequencer almost 10 years ago.
Increasing the interest in electronic music and the familiarity with audio production software he immediatly wanted to feel more in touch with the job , buying the first from a long army of synths , drum samples and toys in 1998 at the age of fifteen.
Music is just one of the projects he follows related to computers and electronic stuff ; from cd artwork and graphics to video editing. Airbag Killex is also an appreciated media artist with his own mark La Maison Blue.
During 2001 he started the experimental project Velcro with Andrea Tumicelli, introducing the live performance into his own experience. Velcro's livesets are basically improvisation, supported by visuals created by Airbag Killex who also edited the new version of Nosferatu by F.W.Murnau included in Velcro's DVD , released in 2005. In 2006 Mandolin Records (London) released a Velcro liveset recorded in summer 2005 , which appeared on Digital Kranky Digital Kranky's Kraeka Compilation issue 4, and Sleepy Verse records has just released their second ep . They'll be on a split-record for fm/am records soon this year.
Airbag Killex loves collaboration : he played live programming and drum samples with the Italian jazz ensemble Kunfufunk , he made some tracks with vocals by Proteus (mc from Altered Beats) , he's working on the Sound Terrorists project with his friend and producer Marco Mohamed , he made a remix album for the italian electro duo DMT Synth , he also remixed some friend's experimental songs on Qoob.tv community , like Egodfucktory and Fleo-Inan ; as well as some more melodic works like the Musetta , Cities and Casa remixes.
He's presently working with Team Skeme, from Texas , 2 tracks made till now ; he made 4 tracks as a remixer for the Offering from UK ; with Kaapad from France he just finished the second great tune.
Most of these collaborations are made through the net.
He appears as Airbag Killex on Digital Kranky's KRÆKA!(TM) Compilation Series Issue 5 , featuring the track "NATURE GIRL" and with the Velcro project on two different KRÆKA!(TM) Compilations : Issue 4 and Issue 9.
He recently won the Musicaoltranza remix contest for "Black Neon" from Tying Tiffany, as well as a release deal with the LouPen3rd remix on the same contest.
Also as Lou_Pen 3RD he spreads the 4/4 groovy side of his noisy production from minimal to electro/break , remixing 4 track of great French producer Cass Lemon , a pair of remixes for italian post-rock band Searchin' Guitar and and an edit version for the Offering's track "Damaged".
