Jamison Young

Jamison Young
From the Snowy Mountains of Australia to treks in the outback, to beating the streets of Sydney and Melbourne, to a life in Europe, Jamison develops music through the experience.
In the studio Jamison's songs have found a distinct production edge through the collaborative efforts of Pete Well's, Antonio Dixon & Tim Powles (drummer & producer of band The Church, 80's super group from Australia).
Over the last years Jamison has performed in Australia, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Thailand, Switzerland, Belgium, Norway, Netherlands, United Kingdom and the US. Performing solo with guitar, basic backing and now a visual element with the performance.
About himself he says: ...The first job I got was working for a trader; I worked in a small hotel for a while, yet these jobs weren't for me. And so began years of wondering. I'd work for a while and then disappear into the vastness of it all and myself for bit, always keeping a guitar close. Cars breaking down in strange places and living on the financial edge; I figured I had to change, so I did. Since then I have produced an album with some good producers and moved to Europe.
I license my works with creative commons and I'm not affiliated with any rights organization. The CD “Shifting sands of a blue car” has been played on community & commercial radio around Australia and in Europe. Track “Top of the hill” was on high rotation on the national radio network JJJ at the time of release. In the Czech republic radio 1 played the cd from start to finish on CD non-stop in prime time traffic. Tracks have been played from this album with many "indie friendly" programmers all around the world.
Recently the track "crush" went out on a compilation through universal music in Poland, 3 tracks out of the 36 were new artists. The rest were all brand name artists.
