SIENNÁ is a new electronica artist from Japan who is currently based in Norway.
She was discovered by ABÒN - a multi-talent who is a good partner of Norwegian guitar maestro RONNI LE TEKRO (TNT, Rypdal & Tekro, Vagabond).
She was born in Kyoto Japan, & has been musically active by playing piano since she was 4. Her first performance was taken place when she was 10 as a singer. She was mainly influenced by Japanese electronic music like Y.M.O. & Ryuichi Sakamoto. At the same time, her attention was directed to 80´s rock music. She used to play heavy guitars a lot as well.
Besides, her deep interest in culture became a driving force for her to move to Norway as a student. There she met one of Scandiavia´s greatest producers ABÒN.
Her music is called “deep moodyblue chill-out experience”.
It is relaxing but it rocks too, besides, you can dance in an ambient land.
It is a successful blend of experimental soundscape & ambience on housey dance/club-beats spiced up with blues/rock guitars & hammondish piano riff.
Her musical style is often described as an “oriental version of GOLDFRAPP collaborates with UNDERWORLD & THE FUTURE SOUND OF LONDON”.
She released her debut EP :::AMBIENCE::: (ABN0004) in 2005 from ABÒN RECORDS.
The track no.3 “Frame The Moments” is licensed by Philips Electronics, pre-loaded in Philips Audio Players that are due to be released in 2006 worldwide.
Her brandnew club-ambient track “I Am Growing” will be on ABÒN RECORDS Compilation CD in 2006. The same track will also appear as her 1st music-video before summer of 2006.
