Steve Booke

Steve Booke
Steve Booke was born in 1969 in Long Island, New York, and began playing guitar a month before his 16th birthday. After deciding guitar was to be the gravitational center of his existence, Steve graduated at the prestigious Berklee Music College in May 1994 with a Bachelors Degree in Music, based on Professional Music with an emphasis on performance.
Steve has released many albums both as a solo artist and with other projects. At Beatpick we're proud to present two of his most brilliant personal works, "Rare Earth" and "Devotion" (an album entirely inspired by the viewing of Mel Gibson's controversial "Passion of Christ"), as well as an album recorded with the project Violet Samudra, "Bliss Beyond". All three albums are centered on Steve's magnificent acoustic guitar playing, and feature ethnic percussions and occasional vocal interventions: spiritually driven music that comes straight from the author's heart and religious convictions.
Steve has been teaching both acoustic and electric guitar for over 18 years, during which he has also had various breakthroughs, with participations in many guitar tribute albums - tributing such well known six chord aces as Joe Satriani, Carlos Santana, Jeff Beck and the late prodigy Jason Becker - and various songs featured on MTV and VH-1 shows.
Steve, who cites Steve Morse, Stevie Ray Vaughan and John McLaughlin as main influences on his guitar style, also toured the U.S. with metal band Pain Museum, supporting Testament, Halford, Immortal and Primal Fear.
