Fake Elegance
Fake Elegance is the young but ambitious Ukrainian band of four people seriously fanatic about the music they play. The band identifies their style as Fake Pop. Despite the clear hint of pop in their songs, Fake Elegance don’t associate themselves with the mass pop culture. They play music from the heart and tell about natural human emotions and feelings in their songs while soft and catchy melodies make these songs more comprehensible to the audience. Fake Elegance creatively combine modern electronic-synth sounding with expressive-delicate piano roulades, punchy-tasty rock guitar riffs, and sexy-charming female pop vocals. All of the above makes their songs gentle but energetic at the same time as well as close to each and every person.
Since their inception in 2005, Fake Elegance managed to earn the reputation of the live band playing positively charged and energetic music. In the beginning of summer 2008 the band’s "Beautiful Morning" track became the morning hit on the radio “Europa Plus Ukraine” and climbed to the highest places in Ukrainian radio charts. Also, the significant step in the band development became the collaboration with the Ukrainian designer of fashion clothes Anna Sosnovskaya who created the first stage costumes for the band.
Fake Elegance has found the way of casting their wide musical range with a new recording deal at Sunset Records. “I am glad I finally get to play their music to everyone,” says Don Lichterman, the head of Sunset Records about the debut CD. “Rock music blended with the intricacies of electronic music, classical music and any complex style of music always has the great ability to create what I consider a high level and huge sound with music.”
