Hip Hop super-producer IzM (Joe Preston) has been in the game for 18 years.
He first started DJing in his hometown of Santa Rosa, California, in the Bay Area. After moving to San Diego, he discovered his passion for producing, and in particular for the West Coast Hip Hop scene.
This evolution pushed him to start his own record label, Isrecordings, alongside MC Skyler Mic, while continuing his career as DJ in the Californian electronic club scene.
As a producer, Joe has worked with such important artists as P-Funk queen Peaches, legendary Rock icons The Butthole Surfers, and many others, including Mac Mall, Jenna G, Perfect Combination, Tee Bee, Keaton, Vector Burn and Grown Mo.
“Long Overdue” is a well deserved compilation of some of IZM's most influential works for his Isrecordings label: hard-hitting, no-frills Hip Hop anthems that fall somewhere between Old Skool classics and modern, electronic innovation.
