Mark Kano is a singer-songwriter from Greensboro, NC. His first band Athenaeum, was signed to Atlantic Records towards the end of the 90's. The late Billboard Magazine editor Timothy White called Athenaeum's album "Radiance", one of the best albums of 1998 in his "Music To My Ears" column. "Radiance" went on to sell over 100,000 copies and produced the top ten Modern Rock hit "What I Didn't Know". Many years later Kano has reemerged as a solo artist with another stellar collection of songs appearing on his debut solo record "Walking On Broadway". The self-produced eight song disc was mixed by Gavin MacKillop (Toad The Wet Sprocket, Goo Goo Dolls, Athenaeum) and recorded at various studios throughout 2008. Already hailed by critics as one of 2009's best releases, "Walking On Broadway" promises to please fans of the alternative rock genre.
