Hailing from Brighton in the UK, Windcheater is now based in Hiroshima, Japan and playing a large part in pushing the electronica scene in the city, with his own brand of breaks and DJing at the regular 3K club night (www.3kbreaks.com).
It's not just about the breakbeats though. Windcheater occassionaly strays into house, especially on the track Apathetic which features the fantastic vocals of Susan Doyon and Drum and Bass, with the lyrical skills of Lewin on the mic . Whether it be breaks based or 4 to the floor, all WC's tracks are under pinned by a sense of Funk and the Old Skool.
Raised on the early 90's hardcore sound, Windcheater is enjoying the very healthy international breaks scene. The track Occasional Confusion from his second EP was aired on UK radio station KISS FM whilst Apathetic was recently licensed for the online dance game Audition. With documentary soundtrack work in the pipeline and new material on the way, you could be hearing Windcheater in all manner of places in the near future.
