ca$h4otterz is Eamon Hamill, originally from Hoboken, NJ. He grew up around the corner from the legendary nightclub Maxwells and was influenced at a young age by the eclectic sounds (David Byrne, Beck, etc.) that he heard there.
At the age of 14 he started constructing unusual pop, hip hop, and punk songs using two tape recorders, a mixer and whatever else came to hand. Through the years, the production techniques and equipment have become more sophisticated, but the goal of making original and interesting music has stayed the same.
Eamon has recently been influenced by the local music he heard while living in Prague and Barcelona. He is currently residing in Oxford, in the UK.
Recording music as ca$h4otterz, Eamon has created an impressive range of music, drawing on influences from Bogdan Raczynski and Aphex Twin, to Tom Waits and Emir Kusturica, with the aim of portraying a type of music which combines impressionistic storytelling, distinctive vocals and Reaktor-based experimental production techniques within a genuinely pleasurable listening experience.
